Mike started working in construction at the age of 18 and quickly discovered his passion for building custom homes. In his 20s, he headed West from Maine to Sun Valley to ski for a winter, and stayed for the summer- never leaving after he met his wife that same year. He spent the first 15 years of his career as a carpenter before transitioning into construction management and eventually ownership. After a 14 year working relationship in the industry, Mike and John partnered in 2008 to establish Lee Gilman Builders. 

He says the most rewarding part of being an owner is watching Lee Gilman employees flourish in new roles.  When you meet Mike, you’ll understand why his favorite part of his job is building relationships. From fostering client relationships to team management, Mike is a people person through and through.
